there are no shortcuts in the quest for perfection

- Ben Hogan

It all started at 4…

years old when my grandpa gave me my first set of golf clubs. Growing up in the Solvang allowed for me to grow as a person and player with Alisal Ranch as my backyard. My Grandpa taught me the ins and outs of etiquette and playing, while Bruce Hamilton taught me how to score, and Jim Flick honed my swing into what it is today.

After graduating from Santa Ynez High School, I enrolled at Santa Barbara City College to represent the Vaqueros under Coach Chuck Melendez. This is where I truly fell in love with the daily grind of golf and the elation of individual and team success.

After a lot of thought, I headed down the coast to Long Beach State University and realize one of my dreams of becoming a scholarship golfer. This led to some amazing opportunities such as; qualifying for the 2015 US Amateur shooting a 65 at the Kaanapali Classic Collegiate Invitational, T6 at the Big West Conference Invitational.

I graduated from LBSU in 2017 and took a couple years away from the game to figure out my next steps. Time on the water and recentering myself, reinvigorated my love for the game in 2020. With support from Alisal, I began working, training and playing again. This rededication allowed me to qualify for the 2021 US Mid Amateur at Sankaty in Nantucket. Although not the results we wanted, being away made this experience that much sweeter.

We wear a lot of different hats at the Alisal, and I am no different. I plan to continue my dream of competing professionally while still helping you with your game. Whether you just started playing the game, 30 handicapper trying to break 100 or scratch working through some issues, I will be 100% dedicated to you.

There is a lot my grandpa taught me, but none more important than the Ben Hogan quote above, “There are no shortcuts in the quest for perfection.”
